A massive thank you to John Walsh, Margaret Redfern and Steve Temple who not only did a top job as umpires/referrees today in the county badminton match between Mid Glamorgan and Worcester in division 1c of the English ICC but also for the sheer professionalism in finding out if what we believe to be a fire alarm was real and then beginning to direct people out when there were no staff around to confirm. Clearly this is above and beyond the call of duty and we thank them wholeheartedly. Mid Glam will from now on appoint a Responsible Person who will carry out such duties in training, matches and tournaments as player safety is paramount.
