Mid Glamorgan County Badminton is a not for profit organisation - we are looking to move into charitable status to help further develop sport in the South Wales community and promote good health and well being in both Juniors and Adults.

The county was initially reformed by Don Griffiths (Don passed away in tragic circumstances in December 2009), Gary Rees (President), Andy Mickleborough (Treasurer), Huw Wilson (Chairman), and Simon Rowe(Secretary). Don was instrumental in filling in the forms the previous year to us entering the ICC and liasing with Badminton England to facilitate entry into the ICC.

The reformed county team was fortunate enough to benefit from the pot of money remaining from the original county team, through that and the sponsorship monies collected over the last four years we have managed to cover courts, shuttles, training, travelling, and ICC costs.

Last year Huw Wilson stepped down to support his family comittments - we wish him all the best and thank him for his support throughout. Gary Rees still supports the county advising (Gary ran the original Glamorgan County Team) where appropriate.
