Gloucestershire V Mid Glam

On a cool, crisp Winter’s day, Mid Glamorgan took on Gloucestershire’s first team on foreign soil. It hasn’t been the best time for Gloucestershire sport, with a certain English rugby player not really showering himself in glory and making a mockery of professional sport. However , Gloucester played with alot of fight and enthusiasm but unfortunately, they were no match for Mid Glamorgan who romped to victory, comfortably winning 13-2.

On a very gloomy Sunday, which epitomised the Halloween weekend, Mid Glamorgan travelled to Worcestershire to play the first of what was built as the title deciding double header, with the re-match taking place at St Ceyndd School next Sunday 6th November.
In a match which boasted several internationals including two Olympians (Simon Archer bronze medallist and Richard Vaughan) it was a very exciting affair which was enjoyed by all spectators. Unfortunately for Worcestershire , Mid Glamorgan were on top form and took the match 14-1 , preventing the home team obtaining that all important bonus point.

Final Score 14 - 1 to Mid Glam
Mid Glamorgan travel to Worcestshire today to face what we expect to be our toughest match.
The battle at Barnt Green has almost been an annual event as this will be the third Worcester badmintion side we have faced since joining the English ICC.
It is a testament to the strength and depth of Worcester that they can field so many teams, and of course we shall do our best to take this one down as we have with all their previous teams.

Season 5 is upon us, with a plethora of new opponents once more we will venture forth into England showing what Welsh Badminton has to offer.
This years sees matches against Warwickshire, Worcestshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, no doubt the standard will be very high and we relish the challenge they will bring.
